How to Join the London Community Bank

Thank you for choosing to join the London Community Bank.

Because we are a not-for-profit, we can offer great rates without any fees. Once you become a member you can take advantage of all the benefits that come along with membership.

We are required to carry out identification checks and whilst it is not essential it will help if you have a passport and/or driving licence number and your National Insurance number available.

We will send you details on how to make payments to your account by setting up a Standing Order or Payroll Deduction Form. Alternatively you can print off these forms from the links below.

Where our checks have not been able to provide sufficient Identification, we will request addition documentation. The following forms of identification that can be used are:

• Birth Certificate
• Notice of tax coding
• Notice of benefits
• Blue disabled badge

Proof of address can be provided from the following: 

• Utility bill with your name and address within the last 3 months
• Bank statement within the last 3 months
• Council Tax notification
• Mortgage Statement
• If you are unable to produce the above we may, in restricted circumstances, accept a letter of recommendation from a reputable source, e.g. doctor, social worker, religious leader. Ask for more details.
• We regret we cannot accept the following: TV License, Bank Guarantee Cards/Credit, Debit, Solo or Electron cards/Mobile phone bill/Business cards/Wage slip
